Reshape your Sagging Breasts with Mastopexy

A breast lift, also known as mastopexy, is a procedure to lift and reshape sagging breasts. Sagging breasts is an issue faced by many women as they age, it is a natural part of the aging process. The surgeon draws a key-hole shape directly above the nipple and the areola in the anchor-shaped mastopexy. Then, at the bottom of the key-hole, the surgeon draws an anchor shape from the right to the left side of the breast. The skin in the area of the anchor is removed along with some excess breast tissue. The nipple and areola are moved up to the key-hole, and then the skin is sutured around the areola, vertically down to the chest, and side to side along the newly-created bottom fold of the breast.

The breast lift surgery in Sydney generally takes one to three hours to finish for both breasts in either way. For two to three days one may experience soreness and bruising. The surgeon prescribes some medication to lessen the pain and to hasten the healing process. To support the breasts, one may also be advised to wear a surgical bra for a couple of weeks.
